If you’re wondering how to price your products at the farmers’ market, it’s helpful to know what the prevailing wholesale and retail prices are. These web sites have up to the minute information about current prices that you can use as a reference point for pricing your own products.

http://www.ams.usda.gov Click on Market News, then Fruits, Vegetables & Ornamentals. This web site provides wholesale prices for produce at terminal markets around the country.

Each market has its own rules and regulations, specifying what kinds of products can be sold at the market, and the geographic area from which vendors are accepted. To see the rules and regulations of the market you are interested in, click on the market name. You are welcome to print out any of these materials.
