Of course the early bird gets the worm, so don't delay.
Not limited to just produce (much of which is organically grown), the Los Ranchos Growers' Market often provides goat cheeses, fresh flowers and unusual items like soap made from garden grown herbs.
The Los Ranchos Winter Growers' Market is held the second Saturday of each month from 10 am to noon at 6718 Rio Grande Blvd. NW at the tennis court parking lot.
THIS WEEK AT MARKET: January 14th, 10 am - 12 pm
Inclement Weather: Market will be held outdoors in the regular location, tennis court parking lot, except in the case of inclement weather when the market will be held in the adjacent community barn. As of today, the forecast for Sat. 14 January will be sunny, mild (~45+), and no wind! If this forecast continues, we will be at the tennis court parking lot - the regular location.
Some highlights from a few vendors:
- Agri-Cultura: salad turnips, salad greens, arugula, spinach, collard greens, radishes, and chard!
- Root Cellar farms: parsnips & rutabagas, and duck eggs
- Lewandowski's: Carrots & winter squash
- Hand2Mouth: shallots, garlic, salad mix w/edible flowers, mixed stir-fry greens, arugula, jerusalem artichokes, baby mustard mix, bunched greens, chicken eggs, plus great goodies
- A Cake Odyssey, a bakery on 4th St in the Village will be at the market to introduce their new line of breads that includes but is not limited to: baguettes, French bread, sour-dough, whole wheat, cinnamon, Challah and more!
Market tables feature fresh, local produce and products - based on last month and comments heard recently, there should be:
garlic, shallots, winter squash, fresh herbs, radishes,
jerusalem artichokes,
root veggies such as carrots, salad turnips, parsnips and rutabagas, edible flowers, arugula, cress, collards, chard, spinach, assorted greens, assorted micro greens
jams/jellies, various breads and pastries, pasta and sauces, honey, eggs,
galettes, scones, biscotti, tartlets, mini-quiche, home-made granola, pesto, soup to go, caponata, and more.
house plants, dried herbs, culinary herbal mixes, fresh herbs, forced bulbs
burritos, pastries, & hot posole, and more!

Arts and Crafters will feature creative and unique gifts including:
Colorful yard art made from recycled materials: bird houses, walking canes, windchimes, benches, steel flowers. Wide variety of jewelry, spa soaps, lotions and candles. Original T-shirts, women and little girl clothing, handbags; scarves that are knitted, tie-dyed or embroidered. Traditional tin work, decorative and functional pottery, tiles, carved gourds, stained glass, watercolors, mosaic tables. Fabric projects and work done with wool felt. Greeting cards, origami, detailed paper-cuts; all handmade by NM artists.
